Prof. Dr. Rasoava Rijamampianina
Prof. Rasoava Rijamampianina is the Director of the Management Advancement Programmes at the Wits Business School (South Africa). Previously, he was the Director of the Senior Executive Programme for Southern Africa – a joint initiative of the Wits Business School and Harvard Business School (USA) – and the Academic Director at the Wits Business School (South Africa). He holds a DSSC and a DESCA from the National Institute of Accounting Science and Business Administration (Madagascar), an MBA from Otaru University of Commerce (Japan), and a DBA degree from Hokkaido University (Japan). Before joining Wits Business School, he was a Senior Research Associate in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Hokkaido University (Japan). Rija, as he is affectionately known, has also been an auditor-consultant at Delta Audit Deloitte & Touche (Madagascar) for many years and the overseas consultant of the Indian Ocean Resources for Quality.
His research and teaching interests include multicultural/diversity management, organisational learning and change, and human capital management. His work has resulted in numerous publications in scholarly journals and international conference proceedings.
Rija has been orchestrating and teaching on various local and international programmes with other reputable institutions such as Hokkaido University (Japan), Otaru University of Commerce (Japan), Harvard Business School (USA), INSEAD (France), Duke Corporate Education (UK), Fuqua Business School (USA) and De Chazal Du Mee Business School (Mauritius).
He is a Council member of the World Business University Association, an editorial board member of various international academic journals and a member of several international academic associations, such as Asian Academy of Management (AAM), the Association of Japanese Business Studies (AJBS), Euro-Asia Management Studies Association (EAMSA), Japan Academy of International Business Studies (JAIBS), the Academic Association for Organizational Science (AAOS), Japan Society for Study of Office Automation (OA), the Society for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research (SIETAR), the Southern Africa Institute for Management Scientists (SAIMS), Indian Ocean Resources for Quality (IORQ), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the World Business University Association (WBUA) and the Academy of Management (AOM).
